Penelope is a handcrafted leather purse made with authentic Harris Tweed® cloth. She's designed for the woman who appreciates quality, heritage, and a little hidden beauty.

The Outside
Pink Harris Tweed® cloth, hand-woven in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland from 100% pure new wool, paired with soft pink vegetable-tanned lambskin leather. The iconic Orb mark on the front confirms you're holding the real thing. Over time, the leather will develop a beautiful patina that's uniquely yours.

*Please note: that the label will be sewn directly onto the Harris Tweed® it will not have a leather border as in the photo.

The Inside
Open Penelope and discover a surprise. A delicate butterfly floral lining on custom water-resistant canvas. It's exclusive to Emma Easter Handcrafted and won't be found anywhere else. Because the details you can't see matter just as much as the ones you can.

Each Penelope purse is made by hand in my small studio in the Rhondda Valley, Wales. Scottish cloth, Welsh craft. Two Celtic nations, one piece made with care.

Veg Tan Lambskin Leather: Gentle cleaning with a damp cloth, avoiding excess water and heat. You should consider conditioning every 6 months to a year, with leather specific products.

Orders are dispatched from my South Wales studio within 1–3 working days (longer during busy periods – any delays will be shown in the announcement bar).

Shipping prices are set by the courier, not by me, and are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order.

Born in Wales, my ancestry weaves across Britain - from Welsh valleys to Birmingham's workshops, the City of 1000 Trades. Each bag I make connects these threads of British craft tradition.

I'm watching skilled trades disappear from our communities as big brands chase profits through overseas manufacturing, letting generational knowledge die out. I refuse to accept that. Every bag I create preserves traditional leatherwork and textile skills whilst creating something new.

I believe in buying better and buying less often, not chasing trends. Quality over quantity. These are pieces made to be carried and cherished for years to come.

I work with Harris Tweed cloth, the only textile protected by its own Act of Parliament, woven by skilled artisans in Scotland's Outer Hebrides. Because patterns vary naturally, your bag is genuinely one of a kind.

My signature detail: custom water-resistant linings printed in the UK and licensed from independent illustrators. It's beauty with purpose - practical protection against spills and British weather.

Each bag carries its own unique manufacture code. This is traceable, accountable craftsmanship. When you carry one of my bags, you know exactly who made it and where.
