Designed for everyday ease, the Aurora crossbody bag is made to be worn comfortably and used often. Compact yet practical, it keeps essentials close while leaving your hands free, making it a dependable choice for daily errands, days out, and travel.
Each bag is individually handcrafted in my South East Wales studio, combining authentic Harris Tweed® cloth with durable oilskin for a balance of heritage materials and everyday practicality.
Materials and Construction
The front flap is made using genuine Harris Tweed® cloth, handwoven in the Outer Hebrides and protected by its own Act of Parliament. The body of the bag is constructed from oilskin, chosen for its durability, natural water resistance, and suitability for regular use.
Inside, the bag is finished with a water resistant lining printed in the UK and licensed from independent illustrators. Every piece is cut, sewn, and finished by hand, one at a time, with close attention to construction and longevity.
Because Harris Tweed® patterns vary naturally, each bag is subtly unique.

The adjustable crossbody strap measures approximately 47 inches once finished, allowing for construction and hardware. This length allows the bag to be worn comfortably across the body or over one shoulder, sitting neatly at the hip for hands free wear.
The Aurora crossbody is well suited to carrying everyday essentials such as a phone, small purse, keys, glasses, and other daily items without feeling bulky or heavy.
Made for Everyday Life
Oilskin is used for the body of the bag for its practical qualities. It is naturally water resistant, hard wearing, and designed to soften and develop character over time, making it well suited to everyday wear and changeable weather.
Each Aurora crossbody bag is made in limited numbers. Once a particular combination of cloth is gone, it is unlikely to be repeated in exactly the same way.

Oilskin - This material can be washed by hand, but it would need re-proofing, and the surface does change, so it is best to avoid any washing if you can.

Shipping prices are set by the courier, not by me, and are calculated at checkout based on the weight of your order.
